Biography

Pilar began her love of art as a teenager in Mexico. There she was exposed to many greate artists. Quickly she gravitated towards the beautiful colors and self revelations of famed artist Frida Khalo. Pilar also developed an intense passion for the work of Vicent VanGogh after reading his biography and viewing his work.

Pilar has traveled extensively throughout Mexico, visiting many great museums and viewing the works of great artists such as Diego Rivera, Frida Khalo, Alfaro Siqueiros, Fufino Tamayo, and many more.

After her college years Pilar traveled the world continuing her journey of discovering great art and great artists.

Pilar moved to San Diego in 2000 after her marriage to Opera singer, Daniel Hendrick. Shortly thereafter she was encouraged to pursue her gift of painting.

Soon, Pilar found that her paintings were so in demand that she was selling them before they were even finished. This recognition of her work was truly profound and encouraged her to devote herselft exclusively to her art. In 2007 a trip to London, England, was arranged for Pilar and Daniel where they will hang two of her paintings in a private collection.

Pilar and Daniel have created: HM Artist Foundation to assist the artistic to discover the "Greatness Within".
